Dr. R. Guy Erwin is the president of United Lutheran Seminary in Pennsylvania and before that was elected twice as bishop of the Southwest California Synod of the ELCA. Earlier, he held the Gerhard and Olga Belgum Chair in Lutheran Confessional Theology at California Lutheran University. He is an enrolled member of the Osage Nation of Oklahoma, is married to Rob Flynn, and lives in Philadelphia and Gettysburg.
