Alvin Erickson graduated from Luther Seminary. He was a circuit missionary and a seminary teacher in Papua New Guinea over twelve years before becoming pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Mott, North Dakota for seven years. In 1982 he founded Grassroots Ministry in Minneapolis and Adults Saving Kids, an organization that works against human trafficking. He has written curricula for churches interested in the topic which are available at www.adultssavingkids.org. He is also the author of two books including Parents Arise! Grandparents Arise! (Langmarc Publishing, 2011).  For 60 years, he was married to Ina Titus, now deceased. He has five children, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
