Child abuse is a pressing social problem with severe long-lasting effects that has commonly been recognized as a major public health crisis in our society. The Journal has dedicated a number of issues to this problem and to the value of raising healthy children in volume 23 number 6 (December 2023\/January 2024), volume 24 number 2 (April\/May 2024), and volume 25 number 1 (February\/March 2025).
